Dr Jenny Sloneem

Dr Jenny Sloneem is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working with children and young people who have difficulties with learning, behaviour and/or neuropsychological functioning.

 

She completed her doctoral training in 2005 and, since then, has worked with children and young people in a range of London NHS trusts.  Alongside her private work, Jenny works as a Consultant Psychologist in Great Ormond Street Hospital's Neurodisability Service and is also an approved linked assessor for the world renowned Harrow School.  She previously managed teams that focused on improving mental health and reducing behaviours that challenge in young people with disabilities.

Jenny is accredited to undertake assessments including gold standard autism assessment tools. She has completed specialist postgraduate training in paediatric clinical neuropsychology and is experienced in administering a range of cognitive and neuropsychological assessment tools following National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

Note from Jenny:
I am passionate about working with children with disabilities and children with academic struggles. I truly believe that by better understanding the strengths and weaknesses of a child, we can help them to unlock their full potential.

I undertake in-depth assessments with children and young people, looking at social communication (autism), cognition (thinking), learning (e.g. dyslexia), behaviours that challenge and other aspects of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological functioning (e.g. attention, memory and executive functioning skills). I am lucky to love my job and feel privileged to be able to work with many wonderful children and families.
